Church Development Project

Princes Street URC in undertaking a development project. Details and updates on the construction will be posted here.

Chair Fund Launch

New chairs are essential part of the project and several members had inicated that they wished to contribute to the cost of buying chairs.

Bearing this in mind, an official “Chair Fund” was launched and agreed at Church Meeting in July.

We are looking forward to returning to our refurbished church and the decision about the chairs is another step forward.

Work is moving on.

Various things cropped up which meant a delay to the start of our project. However, work is now in progress with a revised completion date of November 2014.

The first part of the work is the refurbishment of Church Cottage and it’s hope that this may be completed by September. This will enable us to use the meeting rooms which will have been created.

We are looking forward to “returning home” and being able to use at least part of our premises.

Project Work Starting!

This week WS Lusher & Son start work on the refurbishment of the sanctuary and Church Cottage in line with plans drawn up by Purcell.

The completion date is likely to be the end of August 2014.

This is really exciting news for the congregation and we are looking forward to returning to our refurbished premises.

Meanwhile we have been enjoying the hospitality of Trinity URC, joining them for worship on Sundays.

We have also been heartened by the offers of help from NAURC and Norwich Central Baptist Church. Their offers of accommodation have meant that our regular meetings have continued.

Don’t forget to check out the calendar to find out when and where activities are taking place.
