Church Development Project

Princes Street URC in undertaking a development project. Details and updates on the construction will be posted here.

Having been unable to worship in our church for several months we are delighted to be returning for the re-opening service on PALM SUNDAY 29TH MARCH.

The service will be led by Dr Michael Dunford who chaired the Church Development Project Committee.

The sanctuary now has under floor heating and state of the art lighting together with a new audio/visual system. The sanctuary will be multi-functional; the large Welcome Area provides additional space for meetings with an independent tea/coffee facility.

A new kitchen has been built adjacent to the sanctuary and the Luncheon Club will be up and running in the near future.

Please check out the News page for additional information

The refurbishment of Church Cottage is almost complete and will provide two meeting rooms.

The photograph shows “work in progress”!!

It will be good to be able to return to part of our premises and exploring ways of using these new facilities is an exciting prospect.

Up to date information together with photographs will be posted very soon.

Progress Report

The Sanctuary
A recent site visit revealed an evolving building.
The glass and wood partition in the entrance to the sanctuary has been removed. A new curved glazed screen will be installed which will increase the size and flexibility of the “Welcome Area”

The floor boards have also been removed in readiness for the installation of underfloor heating.

Church Cottage
Two rooms have been created in Church Cottage with the removal of wall partitions, kitchen and bathroom.
Each room with have a “Tea Point” and toilet facilities.
We are hopeful that the new rooms will be completed and ready for use in September.
